Thomas O'Brien, O.D.
Dr. Thomas O’Brien is a graduate of Indiana University School of Optometry and has been practicing optometry in the Chicago Ridge-Oak Lawn area since 1982.
Dr. O’Brien has served as a clinical examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and was graciously appointed to serve on the Technical Review Board of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation from 1985-1996 by Governor Jim Thompson.
He has written numerous articles published in Naval History Magazine, Proceedings, American Legion Magazine, Grit Magazine, and the Utah Historical Quarterly. He is a member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Orland Park and works with special needs adults from St. Coletta’s Foundation of Illinois.
Dr. O’Brien enjoys running, playing tennis and the saxophone in his spare time. Dr. O’Brien is married, has two daughters and resides in Orland Park.
